The team raced in the pouring rain on sunday at the 10km Cancer Research run at Hampton Court palace - knee deep in mud ( well thats a slight over-statement but it was very muddy!) we all got round as a team in a very respectable 58 mins, especially as some of us had been out the night before celebrating birthdays till 3.30am.
It was a great day with nearly 3500 people running to support Cancer Research and everyone got a medal for completing the run. Koko also amazed up, as the now designated official photographer of the group, with his ability to run and take video footage at the same time! We are raced arm in arm across the finish line and celebrated by getting even more muddier in some sort of tribal warrior initiation ceremony involving mud smeared on face. dont ask. Everyone was very happy including myself even thought the nasty t-shirt we had to wear for the race had given me nipple rash - wheres the vaseline?!
Thank you so much for your generous support - please keep it coming! We are planning kayaking weekends and moutain biking weekends as part of the training before december. but the schedule also says we need to be able to do 3 hour runs by week 12... ouch! Mx
